The book illustrates the research I carried out on my cell phone on the streets of Brussels in 2016. I chose this form to preserve authenticity and raw aesthetic. I was looking for objects in a public space which, in my opinion, have some inner sculptural qualities and could also be included in the discourse on drawing and photography. The book deals with materiality, composition, comparison and association. It also attempts to depict the streets of Brussels from a view other than an anthropocentric one by focusing on objects and their energy, surface, material and feelings connected to the material and their combination. In addition, it seeks to dematerialize the objects and focus on relations between them, as well as observing their various aesthetics and phase transitions. The book’s variety of subject matter reflects a multicultural Brussels.
