Complexity, Glass, Colour, Loam, Text

Complexity is not determined solely by the number of elements, but also by their variation, diversity, the density and meaning of the relationships between them. The individual concepts — glass, colour, loam, text — are reductions of complexity. Glass is formed by the rapid cooling of melt, which doesn’t have enough time to form a crystalline lattice and its main component is silicon dioxide. I used this in my installation in the form of glass sand. Sand is one of the three components of loam, which consists of particles of varying sizes. Colour is represented by hanging coloured filters, specifically red, green and blue, which are the three primary colours based on the three receptors, which allow the human eye to see in color. The resulting effect is the additive mixing of colours and the creation of various shades of colour. The accompanying text is characterised by complexity, because it is formed of smaller parts (sentences) and is used as a coherent unit of communication.
